BILOU TOY POODLES

My beginning in poodles started over 46 years ago when my brother Lou brought me a little black toy female by the name of Candy.
I'm a small hobby breeder striving to produce quality puppies for show or pet. All pets are sold on a limited registration. I do testing recommended for the toy variety.
To date, I have several champions. About 20 years ago, I decided to get in the ring and show the dogs myself. It's been a lot of fun, so on to the next one.

A Hobby breeder is breeding because of a passion for the breed.
The typical hobby breeder is active with their dog and dog clubs, training, showing, competing.
They usually produce one or two litters per year, or less.
They breed to enhance their breed, and not necessarily for profit..That is what makes it a "hobby". (Hobbies are expensive!)
They breed only breed-worthy dogs.
A hobby breeder cares about each pup, and where it goes. They breed for health, soundness, temperament and correctness. The only way to know if they are successfully enhancing the breed, is to know how the pups turned out, as adults. This requires follow-up.

Myself, if I were seeking a purebred pup, I would buy only from a good Hobby Breeder
